CPZ 50 Tablet is an antipsychotic medicine that is used for the treatment of schizophrenia (a mental condition that is characterised by disturbed thinking, emotions, perception, sense of self, and behaviour) or other psychotic disorders such as paranoia (perception or suspicion often related to persecution, threat, or conspiracy), mania (abnormally and persistently overactive behaviour and extreme changes in mood or emotions), and hypomania (increased energy and excitability) in adults. CPZ 50 mg Tablet is used to treat severe behaviour problems such as anxiety, agitation, violent or dangerously impulsive behaviour, and hyperactivity in children 1 to 12 years of age. This medicine is also used for nausea and vomiting (10 to 25mg when other drugs have failed or are not available), prolonged hiccups (25 to 50mg), and acute intermittent porphyria, the build-up of a substance called porphyrin in the body that mainly affects the skin or nervous system (25 to 50mg).
