Monocef O 100 MG Tablet is an antibiotic medicine that contains cefpodoxime. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, nose, throat, ears, skin, bladder, etc. It kills the bacteria, thereby stops the infection from spreading. Monocef O 100 MG Tablet is not effective against infections caused by viruses. Your doctor may advise this medicine alone or in combination with other medications to treat bacterial infections. Monocef O 100 MG Tablet has side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any side effects are seen for a longer period. Do not take this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Monocef O 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Monocef O 100 MG Tablet can be taken with food for better absorption. For the ease of remembering, take it at the same time every day. Once the antibiotic is started, ensure that the entire course of treatment is completed. Avoid unnecessary use of Monocef O 100 MG Tablet, as excessive use may cause the bacteria to become resistant to antibiotics.
