Mucolite Capsule SR is a mucolytic medicine containing Ambroxol. It is used to treat respiratory (airways and lungs) disorders associated with excessive mucous (thick slippery fluid) production. This medicine works by thinning and loosening the mucous so that it can be coughed out easily. This helps you to breathe easily. Mucolite Capsule SR shows side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, dry mouth, etc. These side effects last for a short period and usually resolve on their own. However, consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Mucolite Capsule SR should be taken preferably with food to avoid stomach irritation or as prescribed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of the medicine in your blood. Do not start or stop taking this medicine without consulting with your doctor. Mucolite Capsule SR is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you are taking other medicines as they may interact with Mucolite Capsule SR and cause undesired effects. Use this medicine with caution if you have liver or kidney problems. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
