Novastat-TG 5 Tablet 10’S
Novastat-TG 5 Tablet is a drug that combines two lipid (fat)-lowering drugs. When lifestyle adjustments (e.g., a low-fat diet) have failed, it is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. This medicine aids in the prevention of heart disease. Novastat-TG 5 Tablet can be taken with or without food. It can be taken at any time of day, however it is best if you take it at the same time every day. This will make it easier for you to remember to take it. Depending on your cholesterol levels and how you respond to this treatment, your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dose. Most people with high cholesterol and triglycerides do not feel sick, but quitting your medicine might raise your lipid levels, worsening your condition and raising your risk of heart disease and stroke. Your cholesterol and triglyceride levels (lipid profile) should be tested on a regular basis. This medicine is simply one component of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes a low-fat diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol moderation, and weight loss. You can eat normally while taking this medicine, however fat-rich foods should be avoided. Nausea, stomach pain, constipation, headache, flatulence (excess gas), and muscle soreness are some of the medicine’s common side effects. These are usually minor and go away within a short period of time. If they continue, or if you notice any yellowing of your eyes, unusual bleeding or bruises, or if you experience persistent, severe, or unexplained muscle pains, see your doctor. While using this medicine, you may be advised to have your liver function tested on a regular basis. Novastat-TG 5 Tablet should not be used if you have liver problems (eg. abnormal blood tests for liver function, persistent yellowness of eyes, etc.).
