Sobisis tablets are prescribed for the treatment of indigestion. It is also used for the treatment of heartburn and gas problems. The composition of the Sobisis tablet is sodium bicarbonate IP 500 mg. Sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline compound, which makes it beneficial in the treatment of metabolic acidosis. In addition to its role in managing acid-related digestive issues, Sobisis tablets can also be effective for addressing metabolic acidosis. The alkaline nature of the drug has found use in other conditions like advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), rescue breathing and cardiac compression, and in the treatment of methyl alcohol, salicylates and phenobarbital intoxication. They work by decreasing the further absorption of drugs and reducing acidosis.
