Calcimax 500 Tablet is a nutritional supplement used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies in adolescent pregnancies, pregnancies after 35, complicated pregnancies, multiple pregnancies and pregnancy with a history of poor bone mass density (BMD).

It contains calcium, vitamin D3, copper, selenium, L-lysine, magnesium, boron and zinc as active ingredients that help enhance bone health.

Calcium plays a significant role in the body and is essential to prevent bone loss and is associated with a modest reduction in risk of fracture. Vitamin D3 stimulates intestinal absorption of calcium. L-lysine have been associated with an improvement in collagen (structural protein) formation or synthesis.

Magnesium boosts energy and endurance, speeds up recovery, protects the heart and increases the amount of healthy cholesterol. Selenium plays an important role in maintaining bone mineral density. Boron plays an important role in bone formation, especially bone development and regeneration.

Zinc is important for normal growth and tissue repair, improving calcitriol response, and to arrest bone loss in old postmenopausal women. Copper constitutes enzymes like lysyl oxidase, which uses lysine (present in collagen and elastin) as substrates to make the cross-links necessary for the development of connective tissues of bones.
