Cardivas 10 MG Tablet is a medication used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and congestive heart failure (the reduced ability of the heart to pump enough blood throughout the body). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and improving the blood flow throughout the body. Cardivas 10 MG Tablet shows common side effects such as weight gain, tiredness, diarrhoea, weakness, dryness in the eyes, increased blood sugar levels, etc. If these symptoms persist or become worse, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication as it can cause dizziness. Cardivas 10 MG Tablet may be taken with food or as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time daily for the ease of remembering. Do not discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor as it can worsen your condition. Avoid the consumption of alcohol while taking Cardivas 10 MG Tablet due to the increased risk of side effects. Cardivas 10 MG Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Avoid taking this medicine if you have severe liver conditions, slow heartbeats, cardiogenic shock (a serious condition in which the heart is suddenly unable to pump enough blood throughout the body), sick sinus syndrome (a type of heart rhythm disorder), or respiratory problems (such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Cardivas 10 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have phaeochromocytoma (tumour of the adrenal glands, glands located on top of the kidneys), thyroid problem (abnormal production of hormones by the thyroid gland), diabetes (high blood sugar level), prinzmetal’s angina (severe chest pain due to spasms in the blood vessel that carry blood to the heart, thus causing reduced blood flow), Raynaud’s syndrome (decreased blood flow in some parts of the body especially toes and fingers), or kidney condition. Inform your doctor about the use of this medicine before undergoing surgery.
