Valera M Tablet 15’s belongs to the group of medications called ‘antidiabetic agents’ used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medication improves glycaemic control in diabetic patients who do not react well to metformin alone. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic or life-long condition in which blood sugar or glucose levels rise more than normal. Valera M Tablet 15’s is a combination of two medicines: Metformin and Evogliptin. Metformin acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. On the other side, Evogliptin works by increasing insulin release from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and post-meal sugar levels. Thereby, Valera M Tablet 15’s reduces sugar levels in the body. Take Valera M Tablet 15’s as prescribed. You are advised to take Valera M Tablet 15’s for as long as your doctor has advised. In some cases, Valera M Tablet 15’s may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, stomach ache, respiratory infection, and indigestion. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
