Tixylix New Cough Syrup

Tixylix Syrup is a combination of Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines and Antitussives respectively. It is used to relieve cough due to throat or bronchial irritation, sneezing and running nose caused by cold, dry cough, allergic cough, post-operative cough, smokers cough and night-time cough. It is also used to treat hay fever or upper respiratory allergies such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery eyes, itching of the nose and throat. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine as this may lead to unwanted effects. Tixylix Syrup is not recommended for use in patients with or at risk of developing, respiratory failure (Ex. chronic obstructive airways disease or pneumonia or an exacerbation of asthma). Tixylix Syrup should be used with caution in patients with lung disease, severe kidney or heart diseases. Tixylix Syrup is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. The most common side effects of this medicine are sedation, somnolence, disturbance in attention, abnormal coordination, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, abdominal discomfort, fatigue. Contact your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.
