Lantus cartridge 100IU 3ML injection is a long acting analogue of insulin used to treat type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in both adults and children above 6 years. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that aids in utilizing glucose for energy production. Patients with diabetes mellitus may be unable to utilize glucose due to inadequate production of insulin or body’s inability to use insulin or combination of the two. In such patients, this medicine aids in the utilization of glucose and regulation of blood glucose levels. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar to get the best possible effect. Controlling high blood sugar level helps in preventing kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems and loss of limbs.
