Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL is a heart medicine that contains Metoprolol. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina pectoris (chest pain caused when your heart muscle does not get enough oxygen-rich blood), and arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat). Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL helps in preventing heart attack (a blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle) and stroke (damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply). Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL works by reducing the rate and force of the contractions of your heart. Thus it decreases high blood pressure. Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL may cause side effects like headache, breathing difficulty, low blood pressure, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a longer time. This medicine may also cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines after taking this medicine. Do not take Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL if you are allergic to it. Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL should be taken with food or immediately after food. For the ease of remembering, take this medicine around the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. Seloken 50 MG Tablet XL may interact with other medicines.
