Trajenta Duo 2.5 mg/ 1000 mg Tablet is a combination of Metformin and Linagliptin. It is an anti-diabetic medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in adults. It works by improving your body’s response to insulin (a hormone that helps to control blood sugar levels). It also decreases sugar production, thereby lowering your blood sugar levels. Trajenta Duo 2.5 mg/ 1000 mg Tablet shows side effects like headache, change in taste, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach pain, etc. This medicine can occasionally cause low blood sugar levels, the symptoms being sweating, dizziness, shivering, feeling tired, etc. Always carry a sugar source (sweets or fruit juice) with you to counteract such effects. Also, eat your meals on time to avoid low blood sugar levels. Alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medicine, as it can lower your blood sugar levels too. Trajenta Duo 2.5 mg/ 1000 mg Tablet is recommended to be taken with food to avoid stomach discomfort. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Do not skip a dose or discontinue the treatment as it may cause an increase in your blood sugar levels. Trajenta Duo 2.5 mg/ 1000 mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Trajenta Duo 2.5 mg/ 1000 mg Tablet may interact with other medicines, so inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines and/or supplements. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.
